Since the beginning of the railway era, it has been necessary to clear the tracks when there is snow or drifts. The spectrum of railway service vehicles ranges from simple snow clearing plates to large snow plows and high-performance snow blowers. From the 1960s onwards, it became necessary for the German Federal Railways to replace the old, steam-powered snow blowers. In the Alps, in the Allgäu and abroad, various small, heavy vehicles were tested with Beilhack diesel snow blower units. A disadvantage of these vehicles was the use of an additional locomotive for transport. To make snow removal even more efficient, a self-propelled high-performance snow blower was developed. It is approved for transfer journeys at speeds of up to 120 km/h. The machine uses three identical twelve-cylinder diesel engines from Daimler. Each has an output of 405 kW. This means that snow depths of up to 3 meters can be managed. A 180° rotating ring allows you to turn on the spot. This means that even the most difficult weather conditions can be mastered.

Note: The model can only be used to a limited extent in analogue operation, so we recommend digital operation. In analogue operation, the snow blower starts moving, the headlights and driving noise are activated, and the paddle wheels also rotate.
